Local Clubs And Nets
The Eastern Ohio Amateur Wireless Association “E.O.A.W.A.” has their club meetings on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:30 PM at the Belmont County Emergency Operations Center “EOC.”
The E.O.A.W.A. has their ARESRACES net every Thursday at 8:00 PM on the 145.210 repeater. This is an open net and all amateur radio operators are welcome to check in.
The Northern Panhandle Amateur Radio Club “N.P.A.R.C.” has their club meetings on the last Friday of each month at 7:30 PM at the Wheeling City/County Building.
The N.P.A.R.C. has their ARESRACES net every Sunday at 8:00 PM on the 146.760 repeater. This is an open net and all amateur radio operators are welcome to check in.
Marshall County Ohio Valley Net Saturday 9:30am 146.715 with a tone of 110.9
E.O.A.W.A. Net Preamble
Good evening! This is the Eastern Ohio Amateur Wireless Association’s Thursday night net, a part of the amateur radio emergency service. We meet here a 8PM for the purpose of training and goodwill.
Your net control is (your call) and my name is (your name), located in (your location).
Do we have any Emergency or Priority traffic? (pause)
Any mobiles (Take their comments first)? (pause)
Any Relays (if working simplex)? (pause)
Any routine traffic for the net? (pause)
Are there any announcements for the net? (pause)
Now for regular check-ins. (Please acknowledge check-ins.)
Now ask for comments from those who have checked in. (Don’t forget to ID every ten minutes.)
Call again for more check-ins (pause)
Acknowledge those check-ins and ask for comments.
After last comments ask if there is anything else for the net.
If nothing: say
Thank you all for checking into the net. Please come back next week. Your net control will be (give call of next weeks NCS). If you hear them Please remind them they are Net Control next week. Good Night and Thank You from (YOUR CALL).
